A Beautiful Array

My niece Kirsten came over the other night. We painted. She is very good. We labored. Slaved. Tried to find our way. Ultimately, we did. Her’s was spectacular. I will get a copy to post here. I painted over a rather lame painting from a couple of years ago. It is a combination of acrylic, pastel and charcoal. Fixed. Glazed. Per Susan’s suggestion some time ago. Love this, love this. Interesting piece. Buzz Lightyear is in the upper right hand corner. I have no idea how he got in there…but I learned a long time ago to go with it. I guess that’s mostly what I was able to give to Kirsten…in this our first painting session. Go with it. A lot to be said for that in art. Of all kinds. I love many passages here…Susan calls them passages. Makes total sense. My painting is 26″ x 58″. It works horizontal as well as vertical.

New painting.
New painting.
